The Royal Berkshire Hotel, Ascot

When we met Abby and Andreas, we just knew that working with them would be something special! They say that it’s the people that make a party, but add into the mix a beautiful venue like The Royal Berkshire Hotel, and you just know it’s going to be something quite amazing. One of the most exciting parts of our job as videographers is being able to travel around the country and discover such beautiful buildings, and this one was no exception. Located on the outskirts of Ascot, The Royal Berkshire is, to put it mildly, pretty impressive. Talk about a romantic, fairy-tale setting! There were certainly no shortage of photo opportunities here! For the first part of our shoot, we spent some time with Abby and her bridesmaids getting ready for the ceremony. This was such a wonderfully relaxed time, although there are always a few nerves mixed in with the excitement of the day, all the girls – and the bride – were so composed and chilled, it was a pleasure to spend time with them. All in all, the whole wedding had a relaxed and traditional vibe, the families on both sides were very obviously familiar and comfortable in each other’s company, which only added to the experience. That same vibe was reflected in the beautiful décor of the venue, which perfectly fitted the aesthetic of the building, and the couple. What we loved about Abby and Andreas’ day was the way that they crafted their families’ traditions into it – the groom’s Greek heritage was celebrated through traditional music and dance, and additional entertainment was provided with a wonderful saxophonist who played throughout the event. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we were able to catch some priceless moments for the couple. Through the ceremony, the speeches, and the intimate moments throughout the evening, putting this film together was an absolute joy – and we just know that it will be watched and remembered for years to come.
