Raveningham Barn, Norfolk

Such a memorable wedding in a stunning location! Amber and Harrison are such an amazing couple, and when they told us the story of their journey, we could tell they were truly two souls meant to be together. For their reception, they had chosen the beautiful eighteenth-century Raveningham Barn, which is part of the historic Raveningham Estate in Norwich. The setting in itself was inspirational, and the perfect backdrop – beams crossed the high eaves, and the history of the place simply oozed from the brickwork. We felt so lucky to be able to witness Amber’s dress reveal to her bridesmaids and her father. The pride in his eyes when he laid eyes on his daughter’s dress for the first time was priceless. The couple’s sense of humour shone through in many ways, not least when they revealed, since the best man was unable to attend the wedding, a life-sized cardboard cut-out of him, standing proud throughout the celebration!

We had such a brilliant time filming this wonderful couple’s wedding day, which had so many beautiful and personal touches. Filming their promises to each other, which were written by them, brought a tear to my eye – the words were so beautiful. At their reception, there were traditional garden games – swing ball and hula-hooping were great fun, and I think pretty much all of the adults got involved…some of them got perhaps a little too competitive! All in good fun, though! The evening was spent with lots of laughter, a live band provided music which everyone was up and dancing to – even the ‘cardboard’ best man! The whole party was non-stop fun and smiles and laughter.

It was genuinely an amazing day, and such a pleasure to be a part of. A big thank you to Amber, Harrison, and their families and friends, for making our job so easy! We know that you will make so many more memories together. Photographer: Katy Jean Photography Venue: Raveningham Barn Videographer: The Newtons - Film & Photography
